August is the peak heat, and you’ll notice it. Daytime temperatures often reach 29 to 32°C, and without a breeze it can feel heavier. The sea is at its warmest, which sounds great, but nights can stay quite warm too.
It’s busy, beaches and towns feel full, and there’s a lot more energy everywhere. If you like heat and a lively atmosphere, it works. If you prefer quieter, softer conditions, this isn’t the month you’d pick.
