Don’t miss Teide, Anaga, La Laguna, Masca, and at least one proper north coast stop. If you only do the resort areas, you’ll leave with a very narrow idea of the island, and that would be a shame.
A lot of people also skip Garachico, which is a mistake, because it gives you the old Tenerife feel without trying too hard. I’d also make room for one beach day that isn’t just about lying down.
