December is often one of the wetter months, and in many parts of Tenerife it is the rainiest. That said, the island is split by mountains, so the north usually gets more rain than the south.
A rainy day in Tenerife often still means sunshine elsewhere on the island. If you are staying in the south, you may barely notice any rain at all in a wet month.
