Not in any meaningful way, no. Tenerife doesn’t have a big wild snake population, so it’s not the sort of place where you need to scan the ground with every step.
An escaped pet or isolated sighting is a different thing entirely. In day to day life, lizards are much more common than snakes, and that’s about as complicated as it gets.
