Yes, but probably less than you’re imagining. In the south, rain is rare and usually short lived, often just a passing shower. The north is greener because it gets more cloud and occasional longer rain, especially in winter.
Even then, it’s not constant. Most days still have bright spells. If you’re worried about rain ruining a trip, stick to the south and you’ll barely notice it.
