One of the members of our Facebook community shared some nuggets on cooking and the results look absolutely delicious. Using fresh ingredients picked up from the local markets, including colourful peppers, ripe tomatoes, and locally grown herbs, Susi was able to create some really healthy and authentic Canarian dishes.
Susi visited the island a while ago and put together some great videos covering her recipes for tasty dishes as well as the interesting places she visited. What makes her approach so enjoyable is the way she mixes the fun of cooking with the experience of travelling, giving viewers a real taste of Tenerife’s food and culture.

With just a minimal amount of cooking utensils, Susi managed to prepare some of the most tantalising, mouth watering dishes, proving that you don’t need a fully equipped kitchen to cook like a local.
As you can see from the image below, the result was quite spectacular and just looking at it again makes me feel really hungry.

The first video below gives you an overview of how this tasty looking dish was made and I’m sure some of you will be keen to give it a go and let us know how it turned out for you.
The second video features the Canarian bean soup, a hearty and filling dish that has been a staple of the Canary Islands for generations. It looks like the perfect meal after a long and tiring day, warming, satisfying, and full of local flavour.
In the third video, Susi makes a Spanish Tortilla, the classic egg and potato omelette that is loved across Spain, while enjoying a bit of skateboarding on the side. It’s a fun reminder that good food and a sense of adventure go hand in hand.
The final video covers her journey around the island, with Masca, Los Gigantes, Mount Teide, and several other stunning locations all making an appearance. Tenerife’s dramatic scenery provides a wonderful backdrop to what is a really memorable trip.
Whether you’re a seasoned cook or a complete beginner, Susi’s relaxed style makes these recipes easy to follow and a lot of fun to have a go at. The food she cooks is rooted in simplicity, fresh ingredients, big flavours, and a love of good food shared with others.
I hope you enjoy this summary and if you’d like to follow Susi, you can subscribe to her channel on YouTube.
