If you want the short version, split your time between Teide, the north coast, and one or two good beaches. The island feels very different depending on where you are, and that’s the real trick here.
Teide National Park is the obvious headline, but don’t treat it like a quick photo stop, get there early, look around properly, and stay long enough for the light to change.

I’d also make time for Anaga, La Laguna, Masca, and a lazy afternoon in Puerto de la Cruz or Costa Adeje. Tenerife works best when you mix the big sights with slow wandering.
