Playa de las Américas is the liveliest part of Tenerife. It is the place for late bars, clubs, music, and a lot of holiday traffic. Some people love it for that reason, while others find it too noisy and too focused on drinking.
Costa Adeje is nearby but feels more controlled and less chaotic. If you want a night out and do not mind a busy atmosphere, Playa de las Américas is the obvious answer. If you want a calmer trip, stay elsewhere.
