The south is the warmest part of Tenerife. Places like Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas, and nearby resorts usually get more sunshine and less rain than the north.
The mountains block a lot of cloud and moisture, which is why the two sides of the island can feel quite different. If warmth is the main aim, stay south and close to sea level.
