In the south, I would be careful around the loudest nightlife strips in Playa de las Américas if you want peace and quiet. Some streets near the main bar areas can be noisy late into the night, and a few older apartment blocks are not worth the price.
Parts of the busiest tourist zones can also feel a bit tired after dark. That does not mean they are unsafe, just that they may not suit a relaxed holiday. If you want calm, choose a place a little away from the main strip.
